Foreign Bodies is a crossed-media art opus investigating the detachment between man and nature, using the mediums of sound, video, photography and performance, involving chosen dancers and carefully selected territories and landscapes. In opposition to the medical term, the “foreign body” in this context is the human body, which intrudes, violates and renders nature artificial, losing consequently its oneness with it, becoming an external element outside the natural realm. In Foreign Bodies the human figure, placed in the purity of nature, becomes the inversion of harmony around itself in a shape of a tense and trembling sculpture. Lonely figures, animalistic, mechanic, blending and disturbing at the same time. Not an utopic dancing but a monologue of tension, loss, and confusion. Foreign Bodies could be understood also as a total exile.
